Agency Type: For Profit Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. operates comprehensive treatment programs for chemically dependent adults, therapeutic group homes, RTFs and alternative schools for adolescents and treatment programs for chemically dependent adolescents. Programs are located throughout the state. In Blair County there are adult residential rehabilitation, a halfway house for chemically dependent men, outpatient programs for adults and adolescents who are chemically dependent and a therapeutic group home/shelter and school for adolescent boys who are referred by Children and Youth and Juvenile Probation services. The Adult Treatment Continuum includes: Detoxification, Inpatient Treatment, Halfway House, Outpatient, Aftercare and Family Programs, both short- and long-term. Education, counseling, and life skill management are provided in a structured environment. A methadone maintenance program is located in Butler, PA. Adolescent residential treatment programs are located in Gibsonia (Allegheny County) for boys and girls, Quakertown (Bucks County) for boys and girls and Clearfield for boys. Outpatient services for adolescents are located in Altoona, Ebensburg and Pittsburgh. INPATIENT TREATMENT The Inpatient Treatment Program provides residential treatment for adult males and females (18 years or older). This 7 – 42 day program combines a detoxification program, an intensive drug and alcohol educational component and life skills experience to complete the comprehensive approach for formulating the recovery foundation. HALFWAY HOUSE The Halfway House Program provides structured living and on-going treatment for men (18 years or older) recovering from chemical dependency. Structured into daily programming of the Halfway House are task groups, lectures and films, activities and recreation, HIV education, nutrition and life skills. Halfway House services for women are available in Philipsburg, PA.. OUTPATIENT / AFTERCARE Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. has Outpatient and Aftercare Programs for drug and alcohol rehabilitation. It serves both male and female adults. Clients are referred from other treatment facilities, the courts, state and federal contracts, the counties and individuals. This program is based on the Disease Concept of Chemical Dependency and the Twelve Steps of AA/NA.
