Internet
The Roaring Spring Community Library homepage is www.roaringspringlibrary.org .
Library services offered on the Internet include: a searchable Library catalog, renewals, request and the ability to search all seven Blair County libraries.  Teachers can request various services and materials via the teacher's page and submit table e-mail form on the Library's homepage.  Every age group will find a vast amount of links and information via our homepage. To access library events click the Library News link.

Reference Service
Reference services include questions answered in person, by telephone, by e-mail, or by regular mail.  Current and back issues of magazines and newspapers are available for public use. Interlibrary loan services are offered for materials that are not locally available.  No fees are charged except for copies.

Children's Services
The Library loans books, videos (VCR & DVD), audio books, puzzles, and materials for special needs children.  Special programs, summer reading, Sprouting Readers, Family Place and Mother Goose Asks Why, are offered at various times throughout the year. Check the Library's website for the latest events.

Family Place

Free five-week program for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. A 75-minute program each week offers opportunities for children to play with developmentally appropriate toys in a playgroup atmosphere. Parents are given the opportunity to visit with Community Resource Professionals from local agencies that can answer caregiver's questions about their children.

Sprouting Readers

Non-Traditional Hour Story Time for children of working caregivers unable to attend regularly scheduled story times at the library. Sprouting Readings emphasize the use of early literacy skills with children 3 to 5 years of age and their adults. Come and enjoy stories, fingerplays and songs.

Teen Advisory Board
In the YA-Café the Teen Advisory Board works with the library to plan activities, special projects, help select books, CDs, and magazines and much more!  Please join in with other teens to share your ideas on what the library should be for your age group.   Please check the library for Teen Advisory Meeting dates and times.
