Agency Type: Non-Profit The Teen Link Connection is a project for pregnant and parenting teens designed to assist these teens so they receive appropriate health care, human services, and educational support. This is accomplished by coordinating services of various agencies and schools in Blair County. Through individual case management. Nurturing Classes, Parenting Education for pregnant and parenting teens are held twice a year, at no fee. The winter session begins in January and runs through March. Our summer session begins in June and runs through September. It is in the evening one day a week. Transportation (Altoona only), childcare, meals, and incentives are included free of charge for this program. SISTER ACT is a prevention program for junior high teen girls who are either sisters of teen parents or who have been identified as high risk. This program is held twice a year in October and April one day a week for six weeks at no fee. Transportation, meals, and incentives are included free of charge for this program. PARENT SUPPORT GROUP This is a support group for parents. This group meets weekly offering education, support and activities for all parents or anyone in a parenting role.
