Agency Type: Non-Profit MISSION: The United Way of Blair County raises funds annually to support local 501-C-3 agencies. We are moving into our second year of our three year Community Impact Plan. Annually, local 501-C-3 agencies are encouraged to submit applications for funding in those areas identified in the Three Year Community Impact Plan; Job Related Issues, Strengthening Families, Nurturing Children and Youth, and Meeting Emergency Needs. The Plan is available on our website in addition to the Request for Proposal applications.
In addition to agency grants the United Way of Blair County sponsors the annual Day of Caring to provide not-for-profit agencies with assistance with special projects; partners with local retailers to disperse clothing, toys and books to local agencies and participates with Boards and Advisory Committees of community non-profits and economic development.
